Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to review and steer civil, environmental, and mechanical designs. You will ensure compliance with regulations, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with sales on proposals. Domestic/international travel may be required.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 7 years of related experience, and strong CAD and regulatory knowledge, with a track record of delivering world-class design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
• Performs site reviews and studies to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications.
• Updates design requirements as necessary.
• Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs.
