Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Advanced Manufacturing group in the United States. You will lead multi-discipline civil design for land/site development on AI, Hyperscale, or Colocation data center projects, managing scope, budget, and schedule while gaining mentorship.

You will develop grading plans, perform earthwork and drainage calculations, and ensure compliance with AHJ rules. Ideal candidates have 15+ years of experience, a Civil Engineering degree, a PE, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 15+ years of engineering experience on large-scale industrial developments.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D design modules.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects within civil engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated learning agility.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development.
• Prepare grading plans and perform earthwork calculations.
• Perform hydrology analyses for storm drainage.
• Design gravitational wastewater systems.
• Create final grading with cut/fill analysis and earthwork balancing.
• Provide erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater permits.
• Research and comply with AHJ requirements for design and construction.
• Stormwater modeling in software like StormCAD/CivilStorm.
