Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Data Center group, and you'll have the chance to work on projects including state-of-the-art industrial, data centers and commercial facilities.

You'll be accountable for schedule, technical quality, and due diligence evaluations associated with challenging engineering assignments while gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license.
• 15+ years of engineering experience with site development and industrial projects.
• Experience with site feasibility studies and technical due diligence.
• Experience supporting site selection or capital projects.
• Ability to communicate development risks and permitting challenges.
• Lead responsibilities on complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to prepare construction drawings and specs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead site development, master planning, and site selection for large data center facilities.
• Direct technical due diligence for greenfield and brownfield opportunities.
• Perform grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting analyses.
• Assess development risks and opportunities for prospective sites.
• Support site acquisition, investment, and development decisions.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, energy/power, water/wastewater, and environmental teams.
• Prepare due diligence reports, memos, and executive recommendations.
• Lead permitting packages and regulatory conversations.
