The County of Tulare seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to serve as a cornerstone of the Engineering Division, overseeing major capital improvement and land development projects. This is a managerial role coordinating with the City Engineer and Deputy City Engineer to advance infrastructure plans and citywide transportation initiatives.

You must hold a California PE, have at least five years of civil/traffic engineering experience (including supervisory responsibilities), and be prepared to guide

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Five (5) years of professional civil/traffic engineering experience, including supervisory experience.
• Possession of a valid California Professional Engineer license.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class C California Driver’s License.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, planning, and construction of City infrastructure and capital improvement programs.
• Oversee the review and approval of land development projects, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Assist in budgeting, grant applications, and contract administration.
• Directly supervise and develop a professional engineering team.
• Make presentations to City Council and regional commissions; participate in advisory committees.
