Job summary

Veenstra & Kimm, Inc., A Kleinfelder Company is seeking a full-time Civil/Municipal Engineer to join our team in Iowa or Missouri. The role involves working with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers and project staff on municipal and environmental projects.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and a PE license or EIT (or the ability to obtain within six months). Prior roadway and utilities design is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience with roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
• Assist Project Manager in completing projects within budget and on schedule.

Job description

We are currently seeking a full-time Civil/Municipal Engineer to sit in any of our office locations. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training who would work with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs and office staff in various capacities.

• Previous roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution design experience desired
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
