Job summary

A civil engineering firm based in West Des Moines is seeking a Senior Municipal Engineer to manage a variety of civil and environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering and at least 10 years of design experience. Responsibilities include preparing engineering reports, modifying project specifications, and serving as a point of contact for clients. Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of civil engineering design experience preferred.
• Iowa PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.
• Previous roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection, and water distribution design experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare plans, specifications, schedules, permits, and cost estimates for public works projects.
• Assist Project Manager in project completion within budget and on schedule.
• Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Municipal Engineer. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer who would work with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs, and office staff in various capacities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare or modify plans, specifications, construction schedules, permits, and cost and quantity estimates for public works projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.

REQUIREMENTS
