Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to lead design on residential and site infrastructure projects in our team. The role emphasizes CAD standards, Civil 3D modeling, and coordination with engineers, drafters, and sub-consultants.

You will guide complex site drainage, grading, and infrastructure considerations, ensuring adherence to codes and practices while mentoring CAD Drafters and interns on multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Certification in CAD software and Civil 3D platform.
• 10 years’ experience related to CAD/Civil 3D with 5+ years in land development; GIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead designer on residential and site infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with Engineers, CAD Designers, Technicians, and sub-consultants.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards across projects.
• Plan, schedule, and manage design and technical aspects of projects.
• Provide quality control review of design elements before release.
