Kimley-Horn’s Eden Prairie, Minnesota office is seeking a Civil Designer with 8+ years of experience to join the Land Development team. The designer will prepare detailed site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts for residential, commercial, and industrial projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related drafting tools.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience.
High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards.
Develop technical drawings and plans.
Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity; perform multifaceted calculations as needed.
Supervise and train CAD staff.
Coordinate work to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
Learn Kimley-Horn practices, procedures, and standards.
