Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Experienced CAD Operator to join our Land Development team in Walnut Creek, CA. You will design and produce sets of plans for diverse Land Development projects and implement AutoCAD drafting standards to ensure quality and consistency across drawings.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with Autodesk or Bentley products, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative, self-motivated work style.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Detail oriented with a professional attitude and good communication.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce sets of plans for Land Development projects (commercial, industrial, institutional, residential).
• Implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Develop technical drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity; perform multifaceted calculations as needed.
• Supervise and train CAD staff as required.
• Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
