Kimley-Horn's Nashville, TN office seeks an experienced Civil Design Technician with 15+ years of experience to join our Development Services team. You will draft and quality-check complex drawings, mentor CAD staff, and coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and deliver high-quality civil plans.

Responsibilities include standardizing drafting processes, implementing design changes, and maintaining a robust drawing database in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
• Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley products.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills, and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to mentor and teach others.
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.

Responsabilités

• Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Develop technical drawings and plans.
• Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity; may perform multifaceted calculations.
• Perform day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision.
• Suggest design changes based on engineering principles.
• Maintain drawing database.
• Supervise and train CAD staff.
• Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
