Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant civil design experience.
• Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills; desire to learn and mentor others.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to mentor and train CAD staff.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, team player, self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Develop technical drawings and plans.
• Quality-check drawings and plans of substantial complexity; may perform some calculations.
• Requires minimal supervision for day-to-day tasks.
• Has knowledge of engineering principles; suggests design changes.
• Maintains drawing database.
• supervise and train CAD staff.
• Coordinates work activities to meet schedules and ensure quality control.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
