Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Technician for the Virtual Design & Data Solutions team. You will create and modify site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation, and provide technical guidance to junior staff.

This role requires leading design activities, ensuring quality and codes compliance, and coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects, with hybrid work options and strong career

Qualifikationen

• Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records) as applicable.

Aufgaben

• Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor.
• Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within civil engineering.
• Creates, modifies, and maintains technical drawings and project deliverables using CAD/CAM tools.
• Provides consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality and consistency.
• Reviews design inputs to ensure alignment and adherence to project standards.
• Ensures deliverables comply with applicable codes and standards.
• May supervise an assigned team of technicians and support personnel.
• May participate in process improvement and change management activities.
