Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician within the VDDS team to lead design efforts for Advanced Power Generation projects. You will create and modify site development plans using Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenPlant Modeler, and mentor other technicians.

This role requires a strong background in civil design, 11+ years experience, and relevant degrees; hybrid work options may apply after onboarding, with employee ownership and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology required.
• Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor.
• Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions.
• Uses CAD/BIM tools to create, modify, and maintain technical drawings and project deliverables.
• Provides consultation and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Reviews design inputs and ensures deliverables meet codes and project requirements.
• May coordinate presentations and support field activities as required.
