Job summary

Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business seeks a Civil Design Project Lead / Civil Design Technical Lead to drive civil engineering activities for large HVDC and energy infrastructure projects. You will coordinate across the full lifecycle with project managers, construction teams, and external partners, ensuring safe, high-quality deliverables that meet contractual and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have civil engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters).
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license preferred.
• Experience with large industrial or infrastructure projects is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil design activities across the lifecycle of major HVDC and energy projects.
• Support project execution and tender activities for domestic and international opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, contractual commitments, and standards.
• Provide technical oversight of external civil engineering and design service providers.
• Monitor scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to support outcomes.
• Represent Civil Design in BIM coordination activities and design reviews.
• Review and approve civil engineering calculations, drawings, models, specs.
• Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
