Bohler in Red Bank, NJ is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead site design, grading, utilities, and permitting on high‑profile Jersey Shore projects. You’ll serve as a technical resource, ensure constructability and compliance, and guide the team through complex design challenges.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with engineers and project leaders, and delivering quality designs from concept through construction across diverse land development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• Detail‑oriented approach with strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
