Job summary

Bohler Engineering Group’s Fairfield, CT office is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to support complex civil engineering, site design, and land development projects across Southern Connecticut. You will collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality site solutions and providing technical expertise in grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering required or equivalent.
• Experience in land development design, permitting, and project coordination.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
