Job summary

Bohler’s West Hartford, CT office seeks a Project Engineer ready to advance technical and professional growth. Lead site design, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to project delivery for commercial, residential, and industrial projects in Connecticut.

You’ll work on design coordination, zoning analysis, and environmental constraints, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools. PE license is preferred; EIT required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in civil/site design, grading, drainage, and permitting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater design software.
• Strong understanding of local zoning and site development processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate site layouts, grading, drainage, and utilities for complex projects.
• Analyze zoning regulations and environmental constraints to guide design decisions.
• Perform stormwater management calculations and hydrology analyses.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver cohesive designs.
• Review technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical training and quality review.
• Support client communication and permitting efforts.
