Job summary

Bohler Engineering Group in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead site design efforts on complex land development projects. You’ll own grading, drainage, utilities and permitting processes, ensuring quality, constructability and regulatory compliance for high-profile projects in the Lehigh Valley.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with clients and regulators, and apply AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools to deliver design from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of land development design and permitting experience.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.

In this role, you’ll be deeply involved in all aspects of site design, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting, while helping ensure design quality, constructability, and compliance. You’ll serve as a trusted technical resource for your team and contribute to the success of complex, high-profile projects across the Lehigh Valley area.
