Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, seeks a mid-to-senior level Project Manager to oversee large heavy civil construction projects in Utah. You will lead planning, budgeting and scheduling from start to finish, coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and owners to ensure on-time delivery within budget and to safety and quality standards.

The role requires extensive experience on large transportation or civil projects, with strong leadership, risk management, and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 15+ years in civil construction, with 5+ years in PM/Segment/Area Manager roles on heavy civil projects.
• Experience with DOT/public infrastructure projects preferred.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and project management platforms.
• Knowledge of Alternative Delivery methods (Design-Build, CMAR, Progressive Design-Build).
• Ability to read plans and specifications; strong safety and environmental knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans and schedules to meet milestones and client expectations.
• Manage budgets, forecast costs, track invoices and change orders for profitability.
• Lead the project team, foster safety, accountability, and collaboration.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers; ensure QA/QC aligns with specs and DOT standards.
• Administer contracts: RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress payments and records.
• Ensure on-site safety and regulatory compliance; conduct safety meetings.
• Maintain client relations, provide status updates and conduct project meetings.
• Oversee procurement for large projects and alternative delivery pursuits.
