Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, seeks a Superintendent to lead daily field operations on construction projects in Utah. You will coordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery while enforcing safety policies.

The role requires strong leadership, plan-reading ability, and experience supervising teams in heavy civil or related settings. Valid driver’s license and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred in construction management or related field.
• 3–5 years in construction, paving, heavy civil, utility, or aggregate ops.
• Prior supervisory or superintendent experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contracts.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily field operations on projects.
• Direct crews, equipment, subcontractors, and resources to meet goals.
• Ensure safety policies, OSHA/MSHA, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead daily safety meetings, risk assessments, and site inspections.
• Monitor schedules and productivity; coordinate with managers and customers.
• Review plans and contract requirements for quality and compliance.
• Maintain project documentation: reports, manpower, equipment usage.
• Mentor field employees and foster positive team culture.
• Participate in budgeting, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
