Qualifications

• Experience leading and delegating work to support staff.
• Experience as lead attorney in litigation or transactional matters.
• Strong legal research abilities.
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to draft and review contracts.
• Ability to set goals, manage timelines, and oversee projects.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Represent the City in court, before boards, agencies, and mediators.
• Investigate claims and complaints involving the City.
• Prepare for and represent the City in litigation and transactional matters.
• Draught and review legal documents.
• Provide legal advice on policies and other legal issues.
• Ensure adherence to laws, codes, and ordinances.
• Conduct legal research and engage in professional development.
