Job summary

Modern Government Solutions is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer (Citrix) to design, deploy, and optimize a cloud-based Citrix VDI environment supporting national security missions. You will implement secure-by-default configurations, drive IaC practices, and maintain Linux and Windows infrastructure across a DevSecOps-driven Agile team.

You will collaborate with engineering and mission experts, prepare technical documentation, and present to government leadership. TS/SCI with CI Poly is required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Security+ CE and DoD 8140 compliance.
• STEM degree or equivalent experience accepted.
• 10+ years deploying and maintaining cloud platform infra.
• 5+ years with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V or Citrix Hypervisor.
• Proficiency with Citrix NetScaler/ADC.
• Windows Server admin and Active Directory.
• Cloud architecture and IaC/AaC experience.
• IdAM: AD, SAML, OpenLDAP, OAuth 2.0, OIDC.
• DevOps tools: Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab.
• Container tech: Rancher and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain CVAD in 100% cloud environment.
• Manage PVS/MCS, VDAs, hypervisors, and storage for VDI.
• Optimize VDI performance via monitoring and capacity planning.
• Configure Linux/Windows cloud infrastructure as IaC/AaC.
• Set up IdAM resources and AD/LDAP services.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across VDI and infra stack.
• Develop test plans; document architectures and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and end-users on interfaces.
• Work in a DevSecOps Agile team; present to leadership.
