Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor with deep IBM CICS expertise to lead the design and evolution of enterprise mainframe solutions. You will drive architecture and provide technical leadership across large teams, ensuring highly available CICS environments and secure, scalable platforms.

Responsibilities include guiding strategy, collaborating with dev teams, and evaluating new technologies to boost performance and resiliency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CICS Systems Programming in enterprise mainframe environments.
• Advanced knowledge of CICS architecture, internals, administration, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience supporting and managing CICSPlex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of complex CICS infrastructure solutions that support enterprise business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership for large-scale mainframe initiatives, guiding projects from strategy through execution.
• Build, support, and continuously improve highly available CICS environments across the enterprise.
• Partner with application development teams and infrastructure stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative approaches that improve performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
• Diagnose complex infrastructure and application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective long-term solutions.
• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize CICS and associated system software products.
• Provide guidance to a large and diverse application development organization.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support high-priority production events as needed.
