Advancio, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mainframe Application Programmer to design, develop, and modernize critical enterprise systems.

You will lead development efforts on mainframe applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive COBOL-based experience, IMS/DB2/CICS, and a track record of delivering reliable, secure mainframe software in large-scale environments.

Qualificações

• 7+ years hands-on mainframe development experience.
• Experience with IMS, DB2, COBOL, and CICS in enterprise environments.
• SDLC methodologies experience including analysis, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Experience with large-scale transactional systems and mission-critical applications.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex mainframe applications and software solutions.
• Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Create and maintain application architecture, technical specifications, and program documentation.
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software enhancements and new functionality.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to validate requirements and ensure successful delivery.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.
• Perform system integration activities between hardware and software components.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and information assurance standards.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and process improvements.
