1X is building humanoid robots that automate home tasks and scale robotics across real-world settings. The Tooling team creates CI/CD tooling and infrastructure to accelerate iteration and improve release quality for both simulation and physical robots.

You will drive the performance, scalability, and reliability of 1X's CI/CD platform, optimize workflows, reduce latency, and empower hundreds of engineers to deliver high-quality software across robotics and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Build Engineering, Developer Productivity, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming experience in Python, Go, Bash, or similar automation languages.
• Hands-on experience building and optimizing CI/CD systems using tools such as GitHub Actions, Buildkite, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Bazel, Buck2, CMake, or similar technologies.

Responsabilités

• Drive the performance, scalability, and reliability of 1X's CI/CD platform.
• You will optimize engineering workflows, reduce build and test latency, improve developer feedback loops, and build the infrastructure that enables hundreds of engineers to continuously deliver high-quality software across robotics and cloud platforms.
• Partner with all software teams to streamline development workflows and reduce operational bottlenecks.
• Establish engineering standards, tooling, and observability that provide actionable insights into CI/CD health, pipeline performance, and developer experience.
