Job summary
Gentry Service Group is seeking a Senior Chiller Service Technician to maintain and service complex commercial HVAC systems, including centrifugal and screw chillers and related hydronic and DX systems.
You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance while documenting service operations and following safety protocols. This role requires independent work, strong teamwork, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship in Western North Carolina.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with centrifugal and screw chillers.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on chillers.
- Experience with tear-downs, rebuilds, and rigging.
- Factory training on chillers and control systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper PPE usage.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintain centrifugal and screw chillers and related HVACR equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Tear down, rebuild, and rig equipment safely.
- Use precision measuring tools and follow proper rigging techniques.
- Maintain accurate service records and manage expenses.
