Job summary

Gentry Service Group is seeking a Senior Chiller Service Technician to maintain and service complex commercial HVAC systems, including centrifugal and screw chillers and related hydronic and DX systems.

You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance while documenting service operations and following safety protocols. This role requires independent work, strong teamwork, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship in Western North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with centrifugal and screw chillers.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on chillers.
• Experience with tear-downs, rebuilds, and rigging.
• Factory training on chillers and control systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper PPE usage.

Role Overview

As a Senior Chiller Service Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing complex commercial HVAC systems. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on centrifugal and screw chillers along with associated hydronic, steam, chilled water, DX, and air-handling systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to all safety protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with centrifugal and screw chillers
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on chillers
• Experience with equipment tear‑down, rebuilds, and rigging
• Documented factory training on chillers and control systems
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper PPE usage
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
