Job summary

Gallo Mechanical Services is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician focused on centrifugal chiller systems. You will inspect, test, repair, and perform planned maintenance on advanced chiller-type equipment in commercial settings.

You’ll lead others, coordinate on large projects, and ensure safety and quality in every service visit. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in chiller repair and 4+ years in HVAC, with a technical degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant centrifugal chiller repair experience.
• 4+ years of HVAC tech experience.
• High School Diploma or GED; a two-year technical degree is preferred.
• Chiller OEM experience or factory training is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting of chiller control panels, and mechanical/electrical for chillers.
• Strong background performing centrifugal chiller overhaul services.
• Strong systems knowledge: air-side, waterside, controls.
• Excellent problem solving and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, diagnoses and repairs advanced chiller systems.
• Coordinates work on large projects and with subcontractors.
• Disassembles/reassembles large equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Operates hand and power tools and documents status to stakeholders.
• Leads and supports technicians with technical guidance.
• Purchases materials and issues PO numbers to suppliers.
• Drives company vehicle following safety policies.
• Maintains tools, equipment and inventory on service vehicle.
• Provides cost-effective solutions based on diagnosis.
• Able to work with app-based software.
