Job summary

The Mary Campbell Center seeks a C&Y Program Manager to plan, coordinate, implement and supervise programs for children and youth with varying abilities, promoting learning, social interaction and independence in a supportive, community-focused setting.

The role requires leadership in budgeting, scheduling, and collaboration with families and external partners, while upholding MCC guiding principles and ensuring safety and high care standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience developing and implementing programs for children/youth with disabilities.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Supervisory experience and ability to train staff and volunteers.
• Ability to lift and transfer children and assist with personal care, driving requirement.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required; lifeguard and CPO certifications within 6 months; CDL with passenger endorsement within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and provides oversight to the Children and Youth program.
• Develops activities to promote learning, social interaction and independence.
• Supervises departmental staff and prepares schedules.
• Acts as Special Olympics Coach for seasonal events when applicable.
• Partners with Directors for community outreach and marketing strategies.
• Develops and manages departmental budget and billing logs.
• Transports participants in MCC vehicles per policy and safety rules.
• Ensures program policies and procedures are followed; conducts staff trainings.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field

Minimum 3 years experience with children/youth with disabilities

Excellent verbal/written communication

Staff supervision and training

Ability to lift/transfer children, assist with care

Tools

CPR & First Aid within 6 months

Lifeguard certification & CPO within 6 months

CDL with passenger endorsement within 12 months

Driver's license and clean record
