About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Senior Childminder and Development Coach for a prominent family in Randburg, Gauteng . This role involves providing exceptional, full-time care and developmental support for two young children (ages 3 and 5). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood development, possess excellent coaching abilities, and be adept at creating stimulating learning experiences. You will be responsible for managing the children's daily routines, planning educational activities, and ensuring their physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being. We are looking for a nurturing, proactive, and reliable individual who can foster a safe, loving, and enriching environment within the family home in Randburg . Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive and attentive care for two children, aged 3 and 5, ensuring their safety and well-being. Develop and implement engaging age-appropriate educational activities, games, and routines to promote learning and development. Coach children in essential life skills, social-emotional development, and age-appropriate independence. Manage daily schedules, including meals, naps, hygiene, and outdoor play. Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and play. Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children's progress, daily activities, and any concerns. Act as a positive role model, fostering good behavior, values, and a love for learning. Accompany children to appointments, school, and extracurricular activities as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of experience as a childminder, nanny, or in a similar childcare role, with a focus on early childhood development. Demonstrable experience in coaching or facilitating developmental activities for young children. Strong knowledge of child development milestones and effective pedagogical approaches for preschoolers. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Patience, empathy, creativity, and a genuine passion for childcare and child development. Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain a high level of professionalism. First Aid and CPR certification are mandatory. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to reside in or commute reliably to Randburg, Gauteng .
