Job summary

Valley of the Sun YMCA is seeking a Program Director II of Childcare in Chandler, AZ. The role leads preschool and school-age childcare programs, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, while coordinating staff and budgets.

The position requires 21+ years of age, a valid driver’s license, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; experience in staff management and program development is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• One to two years related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age of 21.
• Clear or acceptable Motor Vehicle Record that meets YMCA standards.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Responsibilities

• Oversees preschool/school-age childcare programs, monitoring operations and curriculum.
• Recruits and hires diverse staff; onboard and develop them.
• Manages staff schedules, payroll, performance; coordinates with MSO.
• Ensures safety compliance and risk management.
• Monitors budget, prepares reports, and tracks program metrics.
