Valley of the Sun YMCA is seeking a part-time Childcare Program Lead to manage daily operations of a school-age program in Phoenix. You will oversee safety, enrollment, staffing, and licensing compliance as the on-site AZDHS director, ensuring high-quality youth development and strong family communication.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 1 year of child experience, and CPR/First Aid credentials or ability to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience working with children required.
• Current or ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, Fingerprint Clearance Card, and TB test.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn YMCA childcare systems.

Description

Leads the daily operation of a YMCA school-age childcare site, ensuring high-quality youth development programming, staff supervision, family engagement, operational excellence, and community partnership development. Ensures the implementation of a safe, engaging, and inclusive before-school, after-school, day camp, or enrichment program. Supports staff development, program quality, participant engagement, and family communication while assisting the Program Director in achieving operational goals.

• Manages enrollment, attendance, staffing schedules, and required documentation.
