Job summary

Obsolete Site is seeking a team leader for its Child and Youth Services (CYS) programs. The role focuses on guiding staff to deliver developmentally appropriate care and instruction for ages 6 weeks through 18 years.

You will promote growth across social, emotional, physical and cognitive areas while upholding health and safety standards and providing resources for staff. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, scheduling activities, and ensuring staff follow protocols for diapering,

Qualifications

• Requires clear communication in English, both oral and written.
• Experience leading program staff for children and youth.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and health/safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the program team to provide developmental care and instruction for children and youth from 6 weeks to 18 years.
• Ensure implementation of developmentally appropriate programs promoting growth in social, emotional, physical and cognitive domains.
• Instruct team members, provide written instructions, reference materials and supplies.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities based on observed needs and interests.
• Ensure staff follow health and safety standards including diapering, toileting, hand washing, cleaning, food service and safe sleep practices.
