Job summary

Obsolete Site is seeking qualified childcare staff to oversee and support children from infancy to late adolescence in a Child and Youth Services program. The role emphasizes supervision, safety, and developmentally appropriate activities designed to meet KSAs and regulatory standards.

The position requires lifting up to 40 lbs, immunization compliance, and successful completion of background checks. A high school diploma and English communication proficiency are mandatory; DoD-related training

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Minimum of 6 months experience working in group programs with children/youth (Skill Level CY-01).
• Completion of Entry Level DoW standardized training courses OR six (6) semester hours of college credit in related fields.
• Minimum of 12 months experience working in group programs with children/youth (Target Level CY-02).
• Completion of Skill Level DoW standardized training OR CDA/MSA credentials OR 12 semester hours in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provides developmental care and instruction for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years in CYS programs.
• Supervises and accounts for safety and whereabouts during routines and activities.
• Implements planned activities using prepared curriculum and materials.
• Assists with snacks or meals.
• Responds to emergencies and medical or emotional needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
