Job summary

Midwest City - Del City School District’s Child Nutrition department seeks an Assistant Director to oversee all aspects of the program, supervise staff across multiple sites, and provide direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or higher, strong leadership skills, and a minimum of five years of related institutional food service experience, with knowledge of federal meal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Working knowledge of federal child nutrition meal and operation requirements.
• Minimum of 5 years related institutional food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Child Nutrition employees.
• Work cooperatively with the State Department of Child Nutrition to ensure adherence to policy and procedures (NSLP, SBP, USDA Commodity, SFSP).
• Supervise purchasing procedures to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies and laws.
• Supervise menu standardization, preparation, and serving across all schools.
• Inspect kitchen/cafeteria facilities regularly to maintain high standards of food prep, menu integrity, cleanliness, health and safety.
