Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Expert-level Systems Engineer to support the NRG Government Chief Engineer and Program Manager. You will investigate and resolve engineering and integration challenges, develop actions, and prepare executive briefings with NGA stakeholders.

The role covers lifecycle SE, industry PG practices, and sensor integration best practices, contributing to NGA GEOINT missions. Location is onsite in Chantilly or Springfield, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field; 4 extra years for no degree, 2 years for non-STEM degree.
• 18+ years of relevant experience in DoD/IC Acquisition, Requirements, PPBES, and SE of large systems.
• Knowledge of NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises; NGA/NSG/ASG program experience.
• Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences, including non-technical.
• Strong SE lifecycle expertise; active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI eligibility with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and drive NRG IPT issues to closure.
• Identify topics for Engineering Review Board discussions.
• Assist with planning, analysis, and traceability of requirements and architectures.
• Review cloud service capabilities and scheduling limitations.
• Advise Government on proposed design changes based on analysis.
• Translate mission needs into system requirements and solutions.
• Lead AoAs, CoAs, trade studies, and engineering assessments.
• Support strategic planning, risk management, and interface design.
• Provide program management support including cost, schedule, risk, and performance.
