Job summary

LB&B Associates Inc. seeks a seasoned Chief Engineer to lead the operations & maintenance for a GSA federal courthouse. You will supervise technical staff, ensure safety, reliability, and compliance, and act as a primary technical authority for building systems.

You will manage complex HVAC, BAS, life-safety, electrical, and plumbing systems while coordinating with project leadership and contractors to maintain secure, efficient facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum five years as chief engineer or similar supervisory role overseeing in-house trades in large facilities.
• Minimum ten years of progressive commercial facilities maintenance experience.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and supervisory abilities.
• Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, reliable operation of the facility and maintenance of building systems.
• Supervise, train, and mentor technical staff; foster teamwork and development.
• Plan schedules, assign duties, and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Develop and implement building safety and emergency plans.
• Enforce security protocols and maintain access records.
• Ensure environmental, health, safety, security, and government requirements compliance.
