McKesson is seeking a Managing Chief Counsel for Core Ventures and the US Oncology Network Regulatory to serve as the principal legal advisor across core ventures, regulatory compliance, and data governance. The role spans transactions, operations, and governance in a broad healthcare regulatory landscape.

Ideal candidates have a JD with 12+ years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and a track record in complex healthcare agreements.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, plus typically 12 or more years of relevant legal experience.
• Substantial healthcare regulatory experience, including fraud and abuse laws, Stark, Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, and state corporate practice of medicine and licensure frameworks.
• Experience leading or developing a legal team, including attorneys and legal support professionals.
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and healthcare services agreements.
• Mature professional judgment in navigating legal and business considerations, including the ability to assess risk, exercise discretion, and elevate thoughtfully.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain risk and recommended paths forward in clear, business-focused terms to executives and clinicians.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal oversight for Core Ventures operating model, including MSAs, intercompany arrangements, and amendments.
• Advise executives and prepare materials for board-level initiatives and obligations.
• Support post-close structuring and vendor/partner contracts.
• Negotiate and execute complex commercial and healthcare services agreements.
• Design contracting governance, intake, review, approval, and execution processes.
• Provide regulatory guidance across AKS, Stark, CMS requirements, HIPAA, and state regulations affecting community oncology.
