Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Scientific Informatics Lead to steer chemistry-focused ELN and data management across discovery, medicinal, synthetic, and process chemistry. You will translate complex workflows into reliable, scalable platform capabilities and own end-to-end requirements, configuration, testing, deployment, and operations.

The ideal candidate combines deep chemistry domain knowledge with hands-on experience in Dotmatics Chemistry/ELN or similar scientific informatics platforms, and will

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Chemistry or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Dotmatics Chemistry/ELN or similar.
• Experience in medicinal, synthetic, process chemistry workflows.
• Experience gathering requirements and configuring scientific workflows.
• Proven platform leadership and stakeholder guidance beyond basic ELN duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements discovery for chemistry experiments, reactions, compounds, samples, inventory, analytical results, and reporting.
• Translate workflows into user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
• Provide senior ELN configuration, workflow design, testing, deployment, defect resolution, and user support.
• Design and optimize experiment capture, chemical structure management, stoichiometry, and data traceability workflows.
• Guide integrations with compound registration, inventory, assay, analytical, and data systems.
• Lead migration, data validation, reporting, and integration activities.
• Coordinate chemists, informatics teams, validation, security, and vendors.
• Develop SOPs, training materials, test evidence, release notes, and documentation.
• Ensure platform enhancements meet scientific, regulatory, and security requirements.
• Provide roadmap planning and continuous platform improvement beyond end-user support.
