Job summary

Haley & Aldrich is seeking a Senior Chemist 3 to join our technical support team. The role focuses on chemical analysis, data integrity, and regulatory compliance across national projects with a preference for Portland, OR, Vancouver, WA, or Seattle, WA offices.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and execute environmental data collection programs and QA/QC tasks, supporting diverse clients and government projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS/BA degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, Mathematics, Statistics, or related subject.
• Chemistry strongly preferred.
• Professional accreditation (NRCC-CEAC, AAEES-BCES, CHMM or similar) is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial environmental testing laboratories performing EPA analytical methods.
• 12+ years of environmental data validation and consulting project chemistry experience with regulatory familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as scientist/chemist to support projects and provide chemistry expertise to plan and achieve objectives.
• Ensure compliance with technical and quality assurance requirements.
• Write or review Quality Assurance Project Plans and other planning documents.
• Provide guidance to leverage data for informed decisions across teams.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the US offices.
• Understand project requirements and client needs.
• Lead portions of technical project work from scoping to final deliverables.
• Demonstrate foundational safety behaviors.
• Expand skills to include product regulatory compliance and stewardship.
