Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Cheminformatics Engineer with strong Python experience to join our life sciences team. You will analyze, develop, and integrate cheminformatics features for client projects, and help build robust chemical data platforms.

You will work with RDKit, NoSQL databases, and data science tools to advance modeling, data storage, and ML applications in chemistry, while ensuring code quality and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a similar field
• Strong knowledge of cheminformatics and molecular modeling
• 4+ years of experience in Python programming
• Knowledge of RDKit or a similar library
• Desire to grow as an IT specialist in Life Sciences and Cheminformatics
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Responsibilities

• Analyze, research, and develop product features with advanced cheminformatics capabilities
• Integrate and adapt existing cheminformatics algorithms for use specified by the client
• Develop and maintain databases for chemical data storage and retrieval
• Ensure that the code and components comply with internal quality standards
