Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials in Geismar, Louisiana is seeking a Sr Chemical Process Engineer to lead and design advanced material processes from pilot scale to market. You will mentor other process engineers, oversee PHAs, RCAs, and MOC, and help expand manufacturing capabilities.

This role reports to the Operations Manager and utilizes your process engineering expertise to optimize safety, quality, and environmental compliance while driving cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
• 5+ years of process engineering experience in chemical plants
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Strong technical expertise in chemical engineering principles and practices

Responsibilities

• Serve as a process safety resource on PHAs and Risk Assessments
• Oversee production to ensure targets are met and track OEE
• Lead RCA investigations to identify and resolve issues
• Create and manage MOC processes for safe operations
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and drive improvement
• Provide field assistance during startups/shutdowns
• Offer off-hours support for abnormal operations
• Organize and design plant testing procedures
• Mentor and supervise other process engineers
• Participate in Pre-FEED/FEED development
• Develop process models, heat and material balances, P&IDs, layouts and equipment specs
