Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Principal Chemical Engineer for Ortloff cryogenic natural gas processing technologies. You will lead engineering execution, startup, and performance support from detailed design through on-site startup, mentoring engineers and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

You will travel up to 20% (domestic/international), including the Middle East, and apply UniSim simulations to real-world design decisions, while guiding teams across a broad technology family.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum 15 years process or process-design experience in natural gas processing.
• 5+ years experience with NGL/LPG recovery turbo-expander units.
• Travel up to 20% annually for domestic/international assignments, including Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Provide principal-level electrical oversight for engineering execution, startup, and performance support of Ortloff cryogenic gas processing projects.
• Lead detailed design activities including process simulations, heat and material balances, and PFDs/ piping and instrumentation diagrams.
• Mentor engineers and develop technical bench strength across Ortloff technology family.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 20% annually for on-site startup and customer support.
• Capture lessons learned to improve design practices and startup infrastructure.
