Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. is seeking a Lead Chemical Engineer to join Ortloff Engineers COE. The role emphasizes technical leadership in cryogenic gas processing technologies, guiding design practices and project execution from inception to startup.

The position reports to the Fellow ESE Engineering on a hybrid schedule, with possible 100% onsite work for the first 90 days. Strong experience in chemical engineering and process simulation is required, with emphasis on stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 6+ years of experience in chemical engineering.
• Strong leadership and technical expertise in chemical engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to own, manage, and drive key initiatives & projects to create positive outcomes.
• Ability to recognize and engage key stakeholders appropriately to assist in creating positive outcomes.
• Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Experience in product development and process improvement.
• Self-driven, coachable, and a desire to grow / improve as a practicing engineer and technical leader.
• Proficiency of process simulation software, primarily Honeywell’s UniSim software.

Responsibilities

• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Ortloff Cryogenic Gas Processing Technologies Areas: NGL/LPG Recovery, Nitrogen Rejection, Cryogenic Heavy-hydrocarbon Removal, CO2 Fractionation, and ssLNG.
• Provide technical leadership, engineering support, and expertise to the Ortloff Engineering COE cryogenic gas processing product line.
• Support the design, development, and implementation of licensed projects while working closely with senior-level engineering and management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new projects, product development and improvement.
