Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. seeks a Sr. Chassis Dynamics Development Engineer to advance high-performance chassis dynamics, including handling, active control, and vehicle testing for North American programs.

You will lead test programs, benchmark competitors, and collaborate with Chassis/Brake and NVH teams while mentoring junior engineers and supporting pre-launch activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study.
• 10+ years of vehicle dynamics and control area engineering experience - chassis control / high-performance chassis dynamics
• 5+ years of experience in vehicle stability, controllability, and traction performance development (preferred)
• Proficient with data acquisition systems and sensing equipment including CAN bus data acquisition.
• Proficient Project Management skills.

Responsibilities

• Chassis dynamics development includes handling focused active chassis control performance development (e-LSD, e-AWD, Rear Wheel Steering, Steer By Wire, etc.)
• High performance vehicle on road (track) & off road (baja/desert running) chassis dynamic performance development
• Travel up to 40% domestically and internationally
• Develop in-house testing as needed, specifying and procuring instrumentation and conducting test trials.
• Create and present technical reports as assigned.
