Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a Chassis Brake Systems Engineer to join the Chassis Engineering Design Team.

You will contribute to the design, development, and validation of brake systems for US-market SUVs, trucks, and off-road vehicles, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure durability and performance. Responsibilities include CAD modeling in CATIA V5, performing analyses (FEA/NVH), supporting validation plans, coordinating with suppliers, and contributing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• Experience in chassis and brake system design; pickup/SUV/off-road preferred.
• Experience with electric or hybrid brake systems.
• Knowledge of NVH, ride and handling in heavy-duty trucks/SUVs.
• Familiarity with PLM systems ENOVIA or Windchill.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design brake components with CATIA V5; CAD releases for prototyping.
• Perform/interpret FEA and NVH analyses to improve durability and performance.
• Develop brake concepts and packaging layouts to meet vehicle requirements.
• Support validation plans and conduct bench/full-vehicle tests.
• Coordinate with suppliers and review CAD drawings and specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and DFMEA/PFMEA sessions.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness.
• Mentor other engineers and drive continuous improvement.
• Travel up to 20%.
