Job summary
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) invites a Sr. Chassis Driveline Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of driveline systems for U.S.
SUVs, pickups, and off-road vehicles. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver durable, high-performance architectures while guiding junior engineers and coordinating with suppliers. Responsibilities include leading 4WD/AWD driveline components, validating designs with DVP&R plans, and ensuring compliance with FMVSS/SAE
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering.
- 7+ years in chassis and suspension design focusing on driveline.
- Experience with pickup trucks, SUVs, or off-road vehicles preferred.
- Experience with electric or hybrid vehicle suspension systems.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and GD&T.
- Working knowledge of ENOVIA/V6 or Windchill PLM.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead driveline design for 4WD and AWD vehicles.
- Develop axles, shafts, and differential systems.
- Define and execute DVP&R tests for driveline components.
- Collaborate with Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Powertrain and Manufacturing teams.
- Coordinate supplier development and ensure QA standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement.
- Travel up to 20%.
