Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Senior Change Manager for the Next Gen Operations Program in Fort Worth. You will drive readiness, adoption, and change activities across Flight Ops, IOC, and Technology, partnering with senior leaders to ensure smooth transitions and measurable outcomes.

You will mentor the change team, influence sponsors, and embed training, communications, and governance into release plans to minimize disruption and maximize operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Communications, or related field.
• 5+ years in organizational change management or related discipline.
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience applying structured change management methodologies on large-scale initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the business readiness and change management strategy for the Next Gen Ops Program.
• Lead and develop the change management team, providing mentorship and performance guidance.
• Influence senior leaders and sponsors, ensuring visible sponsorship of change across all divisions.
• Integrate readiness and adoption plans into program delivery with training and communications.
• Oversee stakeholder engagement across Flight Ops, IOC, and Technology.
• Drive execution of the five OCM levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management.
• Monitor adoption outcomes with data-driven insights and report progress to leadership.
• Identify and mitigate change risks, escalating issues with options and impacts.
• Champion a culture of change and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and deliver executive updates on readiness and sentiment.
