Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers seeks a Dental Assistant to support providers with chairside care, patient flow, and charting in Dentrix. The role requires infection control, basic vital signs, and coordination with the scheduling and billing processes.

A formal DA program and state registration are required. Ideal candidates have experience with four-handed dentistry, patient-focused service, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and completed a Dental Assistant program.
• Washington DA registration required; CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 2 years of experience preferred; 3 years if no formal training.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry per policy.
• Greet and escort patients; maintain professional patient flow.
• Chart in Dentrix using SOAP or PARTS formats.
• Obtain vitals and assist with sterilization and OSHA compliance.
• Assist with scheduling, insurance pre-authorization, and billing steps.
