The role focuses on CFD analyses of external heat rejection equipment, assessing air recirculation, wind effects, obstruction-induced flow distortion, and multi-unit interactions, while supporting non-CFD analyses and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
• 8+ years in HVAC with 5+ years performing complex CFD analyses for external flow/thermal/HVAC applications.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and apply sound engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support CFD analyses for customer heat rejection site evaluations and define analytical scope.
• Establish CFD modeling standards and documentation practices.
• Perform non-CFD thermal/fluids analyses as needed and provide engineering judgment on when CFD is required.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, R&D, Applications, and Sales to align analytical approaches with capabilities.
